My grandpa passed away in early 2022. He grew up on a vegetable farm. Later in life, he went to college to become a landscape architect. He was a horticulture enthusiast. I always saw my grandpa tending to his garden and working hard to provide for his family - as most German immigrants would do. This was a flower from my grandpa's garden that returns every summer. Every time I look at this flower, I remember him.
